Activision Blizzard are having a pretty good month, with Warzone confirmed as having over 75 million players worldwide, just as they chose to announce a new Call of Duty is on the way.

Covered in a great article on Charlie Intel, the company announced that they had surpassed the 75 million player mark in an official statement recently, which is especially impressive when you consider that Warzone has only been out for four months.
Call of Duty: Warzone is free for everyone to download, which means it could be expected to do well, however, the company also suggested that the premium sales associated with the game were also at a record high in Q2, surpassing “any other outside of launch quarter in Call of Duty’s history”.
The news couldn’t come at a better time for the company, with Treyarch Studios and Raven Software announcing via Twitter that they are working on a new title in the Call of Duty universe as well, which could potentially allow them to ride the success of Warzone to new heights with the series.
Although no release trailer or news has been confirmed, leaks have suggested that the game may surround the Cold War, with teasers also appearing inside Warzone suggesting that this may be the case.
Either way, it looks like good news for Call of Duty fans!
