Let’s Learn More About Far Cry 6 – A Dog Sidekick Called Chorizo and more!

After the announcement of Far Cry 6 by Ubisoft, I think it’s safe to say we were all interested in learning more about the way we’ll be able to battle against Anton, the chilling dictator played by Giancarlo Esposito.

Seen in a recent trailer, the 6th entry to the series looks set to shake up a few things, introducing some new concepts but also bringing back some fan favourite ideas as well.

Well, wonder no more, with a new interview with the Narrative Director on the project, Navid Khavari, giving us a bit on insight on what we can expect to see in the new title.

Apparently featuring both a tropical setting and one of the first cities in the series, Far Cry 6 will be a story “about an island that is almost frozen in time” according to Khavari, providing players with a “living postcard from the 60s” that they can explore and learn more about throughout the game.

That being said, the team have worked hard to capture the “feeling of oppression” associated with a city under a dictatorship, meaning that players are going to be battling it out in a wide range of different areas, including alleyways, rooftops and more, which they team feel are “unique and fresh”.

It also looks like the battle isn’t just going to be a case of good and evil but more a case of various shades of grey, with Giancarlo eager to “bring empathy to Anton” in order to make him a believable and realistic person in his own right.

So players can expect another charismatic powerhouse who, although a harsh dictator, is pretty confident that he’s doing the right thing.

But who cares about all of that, because we’re getting a tiny dog sidekick called Chorizo!

Apparently popular with the team, the little wiener dog was a staff favorite and is sure to get players feeling cute, even if it’s just after setting several bad guys on fire!

You can read all of this and more over on the official interview, so why not take a look here and prepare for the game, which releases on the 18th of February 2021.
