It looks like we can finally return to that golden era of Classic Team Fortress 2, with the re-imagining of the 2008-2009 era of the title now live, including all of the features that were available.

Announced via a Twitter post here and with more information available on the official site here, the release means that you can now go and play many of the original core game modes, such as Capture the Flag just like the good old days!

Created by a dedicated team of fans, the mod for the game will allow players to experience the game during, what many consider to be, the golden age and includes a range of guns and other features that were eventually removed or changed.
