It looks like Bungie is about to start work on a new IP, with a job listing here suggesting the title will potentially include “a necromancer’s dungeon” and “a giant database of hundreds of baubles, weapons, and armor”.
Published on Bungie’s official site here, the job of Incubation Investment Designer is up for grabs on the project, so if that sounds up your alley, why not pop over and throw a CV at the role.
Judging from the sounds of the job listing, it seems safe to say that the next title could be a dungeon crawler, with an empathise on “loot systems” and experience with having built an “RPG game system” required.
Having spent six years on Destiny and having also left their controversial partnership with Activision, the company now looks ready to start work on a brand new project.
Despite the positive nature of the listing, Bungie haven’t had a great year so far, with their first live event (which occurred on the 6th of this month) labelled as “pretty rubbish” by many.
Encouraging fans to log in at a specific time to view the “fireworks” many were left disappointing, with a sub-par event leaving a bad taste in the mouths of many players.
But does an RPG from the studio behind Halo sound like something you could get behind?
