This is not a drill people!

It looks like the impossible has happened, with the classic 2004 Star Wars: Battlefront title now receiving an update that enables online multiplayer.

Happily showered with praise when launched back in 2004, Star Wars: Battlefront holds a special place in the heart of many gamers thanks to it’s mixture of modes and exciting gameplay across a wide variety of maps.

Despite this, many were disappointed to see that online functionality was disabled back when GameSpy shut down back in 2014, however, a surprise update means that online multiplayer is back!

Seen here, the update means that players can once again launch into the world of Star Wars and take on some other gamers in, arguably, one of the best Star Wars titles ever made!
