I think it’s safe to say that quite a few people are excited about the prospect of a new S.T.A.L.K.E.R game, set in the dangerous and mysterious Chernobyl area after the nuclear meltdown in 1986.

Well, now it looks like we’ve got something to get excited for, with the first shot of the next S.T.A.L.K.E.R game teased via the official Twitter page below.

Whilst it’s only a glimpse of something new, it’s great to see the team working on a sequel for the series, which has been lying dormant since Call of Pripyat back in 2009.

Initially announced in 2010, fans have been eagerly awaiting more news about a new title, but have only been let down by cancellations in the past.

Personally, I’m eager to see more about how the team brings the series into the modern world.
