It looks like Bethesda is continuing to misunderstand their audience, with Pete Hines, the vice president of global marketing and communications at Bethesda saying that they were “a little surprised” that players weren’t eager to get into PVP in Fallout 76.

Quoted in a brilliant article by Mike Williams for USGamer here, it looks like Hines and the team were genuinely surprised by the fact that fans of the post-war RPG weren’t keen to go around irritating and killing one another and instead wanted…more content?
Proving to be a disaster for the company, Fallout 76 has arguably damaged the developer and publisher beyond repair, showcasing the lack of care and respect for their audience and fanbase.
Despite this, Bethesda is still keen to try and salvage the game, with the new Wastelanders update, that adds NPCs to the game, supposedly dropping on the 7th of April, after already having being delayed once.

Hines apparently is also eager to look to the future, with “a roadmap” apparently created and soon to be shared with the community.
