It looks like EA cancelled a title within the Star Wars: Battlefront universe according to an article by Jason Schreier for Kotaku.
According to several sources within the company, EA apparently pulled the plug on the mysterious title, code-named Viking, due to time constraints and multiple studios struggling to work through logistical issues.

That means we have yet another cancelled Star Wars game to add to the pile alongside the project from Visceral Games (the studio behind Dead Space) known as Ragtag and the open-world project known as Orca.
It’s a shame to see a Star Wars game cancelled, especially when we look at the success of the recent Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order created by Respawn Entertainment and published by EA last year.
Despite the doom and gloom we do have some pretty good news though, with Fallen Order 2 apparently in development.
Whilst it’s a shame to have seen so many Star Wars games never make it to market, it’s a reassuring sign to see that the recent title by Respawn has breathed new life into the Star Wars game market!
