It’s no wonder J. Jonah Jameson wanted pictures of Spider-man!

In a recent filing by Sony reported on here by GamesIndustry.biz, the company has revealed it paid ¥ 24,895 million for Insomniac Games to join them, an amount with roughly translates as about $228 million.
The studio behind titles like Ratchet & Clank and Spider-man are no strangers to working with Sony on exclusives, but it looks like Sony was eager to bring the developers directly into the family for future releases.
With the success of the most recent Marvel’s Spider-man title, the deal looks to be a good idea for both companies, allowing Insomniac Games to achieve their “vision on a much larger scale” according to CEO Ted Price in a blog post addressing the merging of the companies.
It also adds credence to the rumour that we’re going to see a new Ratchet & Clank title to go alongside the release of the new PlayStation 5 later this year.
What do you want to see the studio tackle next and what do you think about the deal?
