It’s safe to say that Masahiro Ito has always had a special place in the heart of Silent Hill fans, diligently working to create the haunting atmospheres and unnerving imagery that still lingers in the minds of many today.
Now it looks like we might see a new and exciting project from the creator in the near future, with a recent tweet suggesting he’s working on a new project that we’ll hear more about later on in the year.
Having said in the past that he would be willing to work on a new Silent Hill project with Metal Gear Solid and Death Stranding Creator Hideo Kojima, could we see the horror title we’ve wished for since the unveiling and then cancellation of Silent Hills?
However, the comment about cancellation could also be a dig at Konami, the studio who cancelled Silent Hills before splitting with Kojima, suggesting he could also be working on a new title for the studio?
We can only wait and see, but I think it’s safe to say we’re also hoping this new game, whatever it is, doesn’t get cancelled!
