It looks like the next Assassin’s Creed will be set in Viking times, with a special Mjolnir edition accidentally leaked on Gamestop’s website in Italy.

Accidentally leaked on the site and captured by a Reddit user (the post can be seen here in an article by Thomas Williams) it seems to be the definitive proof we need that the next Assassin’s Creed will be set during the Viking period, which could prove interesting for the genre, especially in regard to the sailing mechanics seen in previous games.

With Assassin’s Creed Odyssey dipping it’s toes into the realms of mythology via it’s Atlatis DLC, I personally hope that we’ll see more of the blurred lines between history and myth in the new title.
