Riot Games will be paying around $10 million to women who were employed by the company due to a lawsuit claiming they were guilty of gender discrimination throughout a 5 year period.
Having been sued in 2018 for a mixture of gender discrimination and sexual harassment, the company is now paying out around $10 million to 1,000 women, including employees and external contractors.

The creator of League of Legends, Riot Games has tried to adapt and root out these issues in future via a mixture of pay reviews and hiring practise evaluations, but has been criticised multiple times for its supposed ‘bro culture,’ which saw men even going as far as to rank female employees based on their looks.
It’s good to see the employees in question getting justice for their treatment during employment at the company, but at the same time, it’s something that needs to be observed in future, so that the same issues don’t slowly begin to occur again.
