Slightly Mad Studios, the creators of the engine behind titles such as the Project CARS franchise, has just been squired by Codemasters in a recent deal for $30 million.

Well-known and regarded for their wide range of racing titles, Codemasters CEO Frank Sagnier said via an article in GameIndustry.biz that the company was eager to bring the studio in to the fold in order to allow for “greater scale and reach” in the future.
With a new mobile game currently in production by Slightly Mad alongside several other games (including one that may be a potential nod to the Fast and Furious series) it looks like we’re going to see a pretty interesting few years for the racing game genre.
What do you think about the situation?
