It looks like Half-Life: Alyx isn’t going to be just a prequel, with David Speyrer, a long-term programmer at Valve, suggesting in an interview with The Verve that the title will be “the next part of the Half-Life story” and will be around “the same length as Half-Life 2”.

Officially announced via a new trailer on the 21st of November, Half-Life: Alyx is a VR title set before the events of Half-Life 2, but apparently will include elements that will continue to advance the story of the franchise.
With the last title in the series having released in 2007, fans have been clamoring for a new title for a long time, but will Alyx live up to the hype?
This also comes alongside recent news that the game will be incredibly demanding, meaning that many may need to upgrade their computer rigs prior to playing the title.
