Pokemon Sword and Switch capped at 30fps as framerate potentially linked to game speed

We had a bit of a treat today with a new Japanese trailer showing off some really attractive scenery, as well as a new stadium that looks to be pretty intense, but at the same time, we also saw something odd come to light about the upcoming title.

Pokemon Sword and Shield/ Game Freak/ Nintendo

First seen here in a post by Twitter user Dualie, it looks the speed in the game is directly linked to framerate, meaning that the title is capped at 30fps whether in portable or docked mode.

The new title from Nintendo and Game Freak has seen criticism from fans due to the decision to remove support for the national Pokedex, meaning that Pokemon will be unable to be imported or exported from the title to others in the franchise.

Despite the negatives, the Nintendo Switch has enjoyed record-breaking sales and the company is eager to increase the number of consoles sold in future, with no plans to reduce the price of the title planned at any point in the near future.

What do you think about Pokemon Sword and Shield and are you a fan of the Nintendo Switch?
