It looks like Hideo Kojima has gone from wanting to create long cut-scenes in Metal Gear Solid to now skipping the gameplay all-together, saying that he would be eager to create films in future.

Speaking during a BBC documentary on the making of Death Stranding and quoted here by Kotaku, the legendary designer and developer expressed his interest in potentially creating films and television shows in future with his new company, Kojima Productions.
With Death Stranding currently dividing critics and having been described as a “beautiful story burdened by a dull game” by the likes of review sites such as Collider, could a tighter focus on storytelling prove more successful for the studio in future?
