It looks like fans of The Long Dark will be happy to hear that “in all likelihood” a sequel will be made, according to Hinterland Studio’s Studio Director Raphael van Lierop.

Speaking at a conference this week (and quoted here by Matt Martin in an article for VG24/7), Lierop said that the title had created a “sizable community” meaning that the studio was far more confident about taking a “bigger step forward” in regards to new titles.

Lierop also said that Hinterland Studios were working on two new projects alongside his own project to create a film around the story of The Long Dark.
