It looks like we’re about to see a revival of the popular cooperative shooter and heist game, Payday 2.

Announced by the new CEO of publisher Starbreeze Studios, Mikael, the developer and publisher is eager to begin creating more content for the title, with both paid and free DLC planned.
Speaking on the future of the game, Mikael gave fans a sneak peak of a new heist known as Border Crossing, but also spoke about the need for the company to break their free DLC promise in order to afford and support the production of new content.

With Payday 2 having initially launched in August 2013 the title has attracted a wealth of fans, but also it’s fair share of criticism due to the sheer number of DLC items which were initially released as purchasable content.
What do you think about the announcement?
Are you going to head back for another heist?
