It looks like EA still doesn’t quite understand that gamers aren’t exactly keen on the company.
The publisher posted a simple image of a steaming, branded coffee cup on Twitter, with many theorising that this may signal a return of the publisher’s titles to the Steam store, after having moved away to their own exclusive Origin sales platform.

The cup, however was met with a colossal amount of hilarious and comical comebacks that may leave the company feeling a bit roasted by the community.

Often criticised due to their nature of buying and then closing beloved developers and excessive monitization, the publisher has often faced derision and backlash from gamers.
Regardless of the criticism, however, it would be interesting to see if the company really does intend to return to Steam, perhaps signalling that Origin has been a less than successful venture for the company.
What do you think about the seemingly innocent image?
