It looks like the Doom Slayer might be taking a little bit longer to get back into the battle.

Id Software, the developers of Doom (2016) announced today that the eagerly-awaited sequel Doom: Eternal would be delayed until March 20th, 2020.
The previous title enjoyed critical success as well as a positive reception from fans due to it’s anarchic and brutal combat, which saw players take on the role of the iconic character in his battle against the forces of hell.
Originally set to release in November, the sequel has now been set back a few months in order to “live up to” the Id Software standard.

Despite the disappointment fans are feeling positive, with the majority of Facebook comments on the announcement agreeing and supporting the developer’s decision to bring a finished game rather than rush the title out.
Having played the title earlier this year at Quakecon in London, I can confidently say that the exciting, fast-paced shooter will be worth the wait!
