Activision have faced criticism not only due to an exclusivity deal with Sony, but also due to a leak which suggests that weapons will be hidden within loot boxes.

Having faced a strong backlash from fans for not having a campaign in Black Ops 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare was hailed as a return to form for the title, having wowed fans with exciting campaign footage taking centre state during its release announcement in May earlier this year.
Now the title faces criticism, however, due to an exclusivity deal that leaves Xbox and PC owners losing out on content.
Showing off gameplay in a recent PlayStation State of Play event, the Activision title also announced that an exclusive branch of Spec Ops, Survival Mode, would be exclusive to the platform for a year, leaving many fans feeling that they’re missing out.

Alongside this, a leak announced that weapons may be locked in monetized loot boxes, leaving the title to face large-scale criticism from consumers. Seen here in an article by Calum Patterson, the news has left fans feeling cold and angry towards the aggressive tactics and damaged much of the goodwill the title had garnered in trailers so far.
What do you think about the decisions made in the latest Call of Duty?
